Yesterday we visited
Tuppenny Barn for a tour of the site and a natural art activity. There was a poetry activity as well, which Hannah opted out of as she was just too cold to stay outside any longer, but the art was fun.
We began by touring the smallholding and learning all about their environmental and sustainable living policies.
We saw the bees and bee hives on site.
Then the children foraged for things to make natural paintbrushes from, and were told about making natural paints (the paints had already been made for us to use).
They made a variety of painting tools,
and then tried them out painting some autumnal scenes. Hannah painted a woodland.
It was really very cold though, and with so much sitting still outside Hannah decided that the poetry session (also sitting still outside) was too much cold to bear, so we retired to our friends van with some warm blankets and hot drinks! She still had a fun afternoon with her friends and enjoyed the site, and the art so all was good!
