Sunday School, School Work and Random Pictures!

Yesterday Hannah returned to the Discoverers Sunday School group at the local Evangelical Church. She really enjoyed the session and learned about the story of 'The Walk To Emmaus'  and coloured in her own picture story to bring home.

The Walk To Emmaus is the story of the risen Christ appearing to two friends who were going along the road from Jerusalem to Emmaus. The two friends were walking together, sharing their hearts’ deepest concerns. The risen Christ joined them and explained the scriptures as they walked, and how it was ordained glory. This experience on the road was a heart warming experience as the risen Christ walked and talked with them. The illuminating climax of the experience was when Christ took bread and said the blessing, then broke it and gave it to them. The two had their eyes opened and they recognised him as the risen Christ and they rushed back to Jerusalem to tell the others. (Luke 24:13-35)

Today we have done some lessons at home which Hannah was really enthusiastic about so that was nice.

We did maths,

Social studies - Hannah is learning about her environment and how it has changed through time. She learned about some of the factors which have helped the change including Thomas Edison inventing the lightbulb.

She completed the missing vowels from The Owl And The Pussy Cat,
and ordered baking instructions and story paragraphs.
After all that she made a thank you card for a friend and then went out to play! She borrowed my camera and here is what i discovered when it was returned!
