Snow, Beautiful Snow!

The snow we had been promised came last night transforming our garden into a winter wonderland, and bringing with it a wonderful air of excitement.
Hannah had been so hoping for snow, and couldn't wait to go out on the sled.

Today was the first chance we had had to walk around our new area and we weren't disappointed! We went down towards the old part of Bedhampton past the historic old church and out over the railway bridge to the fields. It was beautiful!

It's snowing!

Someone's spaniel wanted to join in the sledding!!

When we arrived home we were greeted by at least 30 hungry little birds waiting for a refill of the bird tables! We've had blackbirds, robins, chaffinches, greenfinches, bluetits, great tits, goldfinches, starlings and even some jackdaws today.

I'm going to try really hard to get some good pictures of them tomorrow!

a very hungry blackbird!

Once the birds had had their lunch Hannah and Dean went back outside to build another snowman in out garden this time,

Snowman number two in our garden!
After a warm up and a hot drink they disappeared to the green to have a snowball fight, and even now as it is getting dark Hannah is still outside tracking bird prints and making igloos!

She has really enjoyed her snow day!

What beautiful pictures Susie. It looks like a gorgeous part of the world and I am so glad Hannah got a decent amount of snow to play in. I hope it lasts for at least a few days.
