Poetry, Art and Martinmas
Today Hannah copied and illustrated the second verse of the poem 'Red Autumn' in her work book. She really enjoyed this poem and the accompanying artwork.
Then we read about Martinmas or St Martins Day, which is coming up on November 11th. Hannah wrote a brief description in her book, and illustrated it with a lantern as it is traditional to carry a lit lantern through the house on Martinmas night.
Hannah made a lantern by decorating a glass jar with coloured tissue papers and fixing a wire handle around the top. She is going to light it for Martinmas.

Beautiful lantern Hannah!! Love your poetry, what a great writer you are.
We will fill the house with candles on Monday and pray for St. Martins intervention to ask God to light our lives and yours!
Peace & Raw Health,
Elizabeth and children
