Home Education Group - Hydrosphere
This week at the home education group the children had the opportunity to learn about the water systems of the Earth. They carried out experiments with salt water density versus fresh water, and learnt about fast flowing streams, erosion and water storage using sand and water to replicate the conditions.
With the help of one of the mums at group who is a scientist, Hannah saw how salt water is heavier than fresh water. The fresh water (coloured green) floated on top of the salt water.
She also managed to make a dam from sticks and sand which held back the water in her "stream" !
She finished off the session with some artwork before heading out to the playground.
