Japan Day at Portsmouth Home Education Group

Today at our home ed group we looked at Japan. The children all brought some information with them that they had found out about Japan and then shared that information around the table. It was really interesting, and they looked at things as diverse as religion, costume, currency, written word, origami, judo, film, festivals and industry. One of the mum's had made up some lovely handouts, and Hannah was very pleased with the information about different types of cherry blossoms and loved the idea of a tea ceremony - infact, she is arranging a tea ceremony as i type this, for her dad and me !!
