Fair Trade Bananas

This week at Adventure Club, Sarah taught the children all about Fair Trade Bananas!
She brought a world map and the children took turns to pinpoint countries that were hot enough to grown bananas.



Next they arranged pictures of banana production from tree to store, and then Sarah demonstrated the difference between buying regular bananas and fairly traded ones to show how the fairly traded ones benefitted the farmers much more.


Finally it was time for a Caribbean story, song and dance!


And then play, lots of play :-)
